- Friday folders came home today. Please return the folder back to school on Monday.
- Mark my time bookmarks are due on September 1. Please send a check made out to Pine Ridge Christian along with your order form if you care to order.
- We are going to be polishing rocks next week in a rock tumbler. If your child would like to find a rock or two to bring in to add to our tumbler, that would be great. We will begin this on Monday.
- Please return your baton to school this coming week.
- No School on Monday, September 4 for Labor Day.
- Convocation will be on September 6 at 9:00 am at the High School. Please join us as we bring in the school year with praises to our Savior as a whole student body.
- Walk-a-thon is September 13 (Wednesday) in the afternoon at the High School track.
Curriculum Highlights:
On Monday we did a lot of activities with the eclipse! What a cool first day of school!
We have begun our Science unit called "Earth and Me." This week we learned about Rocks.

In Bible we began the studying the book of Ephesians. We learned about unity, working as a team, and following in God's footsteps.
Math routines were established this week along with practice on addition and subtraction.
We have begun reading and writing workshop. The kids were so excited to go shopping in my library and love reading their books each day.

We also really enjoyed covering our writer's notebooks today to make them special to us!
